I’M ANAS RIFI-ZINATI AND I’M A CERAMIC DESIGNER BASED IN BARCELONA.
ABOUT ME
My work ranges from conceptual work to product design. Here you will find projects that follow a philosophy based on responsible production, an enriching process and collaborations with other designers / artists.
I began to work with ceramics instinctively, I could not put my finger on what led me to this profession until my grandmother explained to me that when she was young she worked for her mother-in-law (my great-grandmother) who was a potter from the Rif working in one of the most important ceramic styles of North Africa made by talented craftswomen of the region. Having this heritage through my family makes me feel proud and lucky.
I have my own workshop in Barcelona, Espai Alfar. Along with Laia Amigó we produce our own work as well as the work of other artists/designers.
EXPERIENCE
I studied interior and industrial design at Escola Massana.
I had the opportunity to work with clients/studios such as Apparatu, Hey Studio, Restaurant Disfrutar, PPT Interiorismo, Turbot Design, El torn, Picto Facto, Escola Massana, FormatoComodo.
